Building on the success of carsales Badges, carsales this week launched ‘Buy from home’.
‘Buy from home’ groups a number of services which help car buyers engage in frictionless sales transactions without leaving home.
Using ‘Buy from home’, dealers can highlight to consumers that they can package home test drives, finance applications, trade-in valuations, remote payments and driveway deliveries.
The ‘Buy from home’ badging is called out at search level – allowing consumers to quickly refine their vehicle shortlist.
Over 30,000 ‘Buy from home’ badges were added to dealer inventory on carsales within 48 hours of the feature’s launch… And the total is growing…Everything from a cheap and cheerful used Corolla to a brand-new $1.95m McLaren Senna!
“With travel restrictions still in play, it’s not surprising to see that ‘Buy from home’ and ‘Delivery available’ are now the most searched badges on carsales,” says Ryan Svaghi, says Ryan Svaghi, Product and UX Director at carsales.
“We know from our onsite surveys that almost 20% of respondents are looking to buy a car right now.
“Dealers who want to cut through to these buyers, and can offer a genuine in-home service, should be adding badges such as ‘Buy from home’ and ‘Delivery available’ as soon as possible,” he stated.
Svaghi says ‘Buy from home’ is an important evolution is carsales services to dealers.
He believes Australia’s COVID period will accelerate the change in buying habits, and the way businesses and consumers engage for the long term.
“After months of online purchasing journeys, the way consumers want to buy goods and services is unlikely to return to what it was. The feedback I’m hearing is that consumers are enjoying the convenience of well executed online transactions,” said Svaghi.
“At carsales we are serious about helping equip dealers for this change with both effective products and innovative technology that meets evolving customer expectations.” he concluded.
